3 podcasts in regards to my business plan...

For this week in my business venture, I have chosen 3 podcasts to help me along the way. The first is     Entertainment Law Update with Gordon Firemark, Esq. – Episode 30 - JOBS Act, crowdfunding, limited editions, and more.
In the Entertainment Law Update Podcast with Gordon Firemark and his associates, they give their reviews on Obama’s April 2012 Jumpstart Our Business Start-Ups Act, or JOBS Act, which enables small business to raise funds through online crowd funding. The bill will make it easier for small businesses to gain revenue from investors. Firemark and his associates go into the major components of the bill. Discussed, are the FCC’s needs to further regulate the bill, and what protection needs to be applied for those that choose to utilize the new bill to help further their projects. Crowd funding will help my company because I can use social media to increase my company’s revenue.

The second is the Andy & Amy on Biz with Andy Spicer and Amy Breslin – Protect Your Brand-Copyrights, Trademarks & Patents.
Featured guest on the Andy and Amy on Biz Podcast is Attorney Jonathan Wachs of Offit Kurmon in Maryland to give his insight on property law and the importance of protecting your company’s intellectual property. Wachs goes into detail about the importance of doing a thorough screen when searching through copyrights and patents, in trying to register your own property under the USPTO search. This is primarily because when registering your company, you don’t want people to get your brand confused with another brand. Exclusivity is important to today’s consumer. Wachs also irons out what the different symbols mean for trademarks and copyrights, i.e. © ® ℗ ℠ ™

Last is the Pro Found Studios Podcast – #2 Beating the odds in the entertainment business.
This podcast dwells on the tools and keys to success that one should possess when trying to make it big in the entertainment industry. This is important to my business in particular because empowering young people to use their entertainment abilities will be the foundation to my company’s success. My company, REDD Ink, is an afterschool program that helps kids with their homework, and also allows them to express themselves through music and other forms of entertainment.
